Karen Tingle

Registered Manager – The Terrace

Karen is the Registered Manager for the Terrace, she commenced her employment with Wycar Leys in 1998 as a Care Support Worker.

Her enthusiasm and on going motivation have enabled her to develop her career with ease.  She has undertaken various courses such as NVQ 4 Management and continues to develop her knowledge to keep up with changing industry requirements.

Karen’s specialties are working with Autism and her previous roles consisted of working for social services with children who have Autistic spectrum diagnosis and adults with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviour within residential settings.

Due to her knowledge and expertise within Autism, Karen is committed to staff development by providing training to staff members in order to increase Autism awareness.

Karen endeavours to provide opportunities to both staff and service users,  she recognises service users as individuals and aims to provide them with opportunities in order to increase their independent living skills and enable them to take part in life experiences.
