Chris Smith

Activity Co-ordinator

Chris is the Activity Co-ordinator for Wycar Leys Bilsthorpe and Bulwell.  Chris works alongside the Activity Manager and his role involves the development of new activities, including community based opportunities - both leisure and work related.

Chris began his career at Wycar Leys as a Care Support Worker and due to his hard work and commitment to the Company, he quickly progressed to a Team Leader position at Bilsthorpe and then Deputy Manager at our home in Bulwell.  In August 2007 Chris commenced his new position as Activity Co-ordinator.

Chris has over six years experience at Wycar Leys and during this time he has acquired various qualifications including his NVQ 3 in Care.

Chris believes in bringing out the best in our Service Users by encouraging all to reach their full potential whilst offering the support, motivation, reassurance and guidance that is required to undertake any activity.  He believes in the ideal of Person Centred Planning and perceives the care team and the Service Users as individuals with personal needs which are unique to themselves.
