Activities

The Mews Service Users take part in a variety of activities within the local community and have full access to all in-house facilities available at Wycar Leys Bilsthorpe.

Activities are undertaken on a daily basis by Service Users and every Service User has their own individual activity schedule which is tailor made to meet their needs. The Mews has its own minibus and access to a company people carrier which enables Service Users to access a wider variety of activities. Some of the current activities Service Users undertake consist of :-

• Swimming
• Shopping
• Cinema
• Bike Riding
• Go-Karting
• Dining out
• Day trips
• Scout Camp facilities
• Trampoline
• Snooker
• Arts and Crafts
• Fitness classes
• In-house tutor classes
• Supported and Unsupported work placements
• Supported and unsupported college placements

As part of our Service Users day to day living we incorporate independent living skills with learning experiences and an element of fun. We will attempt to facilitate any request from Service Users for any activity, but only if after a risk assessment it is deemed an acceptable risk,  will it be added to the wide range of activities which are accessed The Mews Service Users.
