Garden

We offer independent living opportunities with an appropriate level of support to meet individual needs. We have good relationships with the local Burton College, which offers a wide range of learning opportunities and personal development. We also access local facilities, such as the leisure centre, bowling, bingo, cinema, horse riding, visiting football matches, as well as attending discos and clubs. The home has its own people carrier.

We aim to support each Service User to make decisions about their own lives using a person-centred approach. We listen to Service Users’ opinions, wishes and desires to build a person-centred plan for each individual and changes are responded to swiftly and appropriately.

Daily Living

Our staff team is highly motivated and dedicated to supporting people to achieve their personal goals, helping them to reach their full potential. All support staff are trained to NVQ Level II or III, as well as receiving specific training appropriate to supporting those who choose to make their home with us.

Mr Jim Steeples is the Home Manager and has been with Wycar Leys since 2004. Jim has been working in the field of learning disabilities for over ten years, starting his career as a Residential Social Worker. Jim is committed to helping and supporting all Service Users to achieve their full potential, as well as ensuring Trent View provides a homely environment for all its residents.
